Sexism in India

India as a country seems to be progressing but there are some aspects of the Indian population and the Indian society in general which a negative aspect remains.

Sexism in India is one such aspect of India. In spite of the IT sector as well as the economic sector of India growing rapidly, women still face discrimination in workplaces as well as in society in general. In the recent times, companies have taken quite a few steps to ensure that women get equal rights but that day is still pretty far.

Whether you speak about the thriving movie industry of India or whether you speak about the rapidly growing IT sector of India, there is no pay parity and no equal rights for women. The pay parity does not exist in any of the industries in India when it comes to gender pay difference.

Some of the highest women achievers in the country have spoken of this in public and this itself would make you understand how big the problem is.

If India truly wants to become international superpower, it would have to give equal rights to its women so that there is overall upliftment of the entire society and there are equal rights to each and every citizen as well.
